Sathit’s and Panithan’s panic unfounded

PM’s Office Minister Sathit Wongnongtoey and acting government spokesman Panithan Wattanayagorn were reported by the media on 03/12/09 to have claimed that a website called ProtecttheKing.com had been hacked.

It was not hacked. Some bureaucrat simply forgot to renew the domain name, reported the Bangkok Post on 07/12/09.

An alliance of independent IT security experts looked into the alleged break-in and found the claim to be false.
